Round 13 Adam Logan (Waterloo ON) defeated Joel Wapnick (Montreal QC) at table 3 this round, 467-379. Joel played ALAMODES, REBEGINS, and the lovely JEePS/QAIDS/WE/Oe/OP for 57. Adam got down MILTERS, REGATTA, and then opened the board with QAID, which slotted the D in the right spot for WOODbINE. Marilyn Murray (Richmond BC) vs. Dean Saldanha (Richmond BC): mANNERED, CASERNE, RA?LINE. Lloyd Mills (Georgetown ON) vs. Andrew Golding (Verdun QC): AUDIENTS, uNLEVIED, CA?STAN, and VASTIER. Jill Turney (North Vancouver BC) vs. John Stardom (Ottawa ON): POLARIZe, ENTASIS, ETESIAn, and PRONATED. Shaun Goatcher (Mississauga ON) vs. Mark Schellenberg (Calgary AB): WEIgHmEN and INTRUST. Brian Williams (Winnipeg MB) vs. Jeff Parsons (Logy Bay NL). Early on, Jeff tried ROADmAN*, which Brian challenged off. I see Jeff's ANTIARs for 60 and Brian's UNSOAKED for 65 and SPrIGGED for 89. Robin Pollock Daniel (Toronto ON) and Dielle Saldanha (Richmond BC) faced off this round. As I watch them, Robin says she couldn't find the triple-triple. Either that or she was joking. The Q was one short of the top left triple and she held EEURST?. She played QUEEReST for 101 to bingo out and win, 401-369. Evan Berofsky (Thornhill ON) vs. Ross Brown (Kanata ON). It was Evan's win, 405-287, but Russ's beautiful play of LAMpOONER played through the AM that was the game's prettiest play!
