Bill Geist from Sunday Morning on CBS. He spent four days with us and over time really understood the scene. At this point, he is writing down words of interest. His favorite: WAFFLESTOMPERS. He knew enough to look it up in the Long List.

Division 1's board 2 annotators, Pat Larash and Martin Smith, comb over their annotation sheets to check for accuracy and to fill holes in each other's coverage. These sheets, expertly detailed, are used for inputting of online games on this web site. Some will also go to Joe Edley (Coram, NY) for use in upcoming issues of SCRABBLE® News.

Keith Smith (Austin, TX), Paul Avrin (New York, NY), Randy Greenspan (Buffalo, NY), and Ron Hoekstra (Kentwood, MI), stand around Jan Dixon (Newark, DE) as she talks about her unusual endgame with Brian Cappelletto (Chicago, IL). This incident missed the round's color, but it worth mentioning that a tile that was on the board, ended up getting mixed in Jan's rack and getting put back onto the board and scored as a play. And it wasn't until in the post-game chat that they realized what had happened. The game ended in a tie, 387-387.
