[[Dave Wiegand]] from Portland, OR wins the [[2009 National SCRABBLE Championship]].  He defeated the reigning champion [[Nigel Richards]] from Malaysia in both of the last two rounds today.  Both had 25 wins but Dave’s spread was better.  Joel Wapnick, from Montreal, QC placed third.
