OSPD3, the third edition of the Official SCRABBLE Players Dictionary, was edited in tandem with the first edition of the Official Tournament and Club Word List (OTCWL). It was published in 1995 and edited by Merriam-Webster, based on research conducted by the then National SCRABBLE Association under the chairmanship of then Dictionary Committee chair Jim Pate and committee members John Chew, James Cherry, Joe Edley, and others to be confirmed when a suitable copy of SCRABBLE News is located.
While OSPD3 was never used as an adult competitive lexicon, it did see use in School SCRABBLE play. Errata below were created for this latter purpose.
