John D. Williams, Jr. was named the 2009 Michael Wise Memorial Person of the Year, along with his wife Jane Ratsey Williams.

He is also:

  • a member of the NASPA Advisory Board,
  • responsible for the process that led to the formation of NASPA,
  • executive director of the NSA,
  • author of SCRABBLE books.
