On January 9th, 2018, Will Anderson played an exhibition match against a Taiwanese robot from ITRI, featuring their IVS technology. The game featured rules that differed slightly from standard rules; in particular, there were no blanks, after the first turn all main words had to include a tile on the board, and not all unplayed tiles were fully hidden.
