=== Maintaining Certification ===
The criteria for maintaining certified director status and for restoring a lapsed certification are also set by the
[[Advisory Board]], [[Tournament Committee]] and the [[Club/Director Committee]]:
* A certified director must be a member in good standing of NASPA. A director can lose his/her good standing through a disciplinary process, or by having an overdue account with NASPA.
* As of 11/8/12, NSA-grandfathered directors are required to take the current NASPA Director’s Test. We will give you until a week before the date of your next tourney to complete and submit the Test. If you pass, you will remain a current director. If not, as with all grandfathered directors who fail the test, you will be taken off the Director’s list.
* When significant changes are made in [[Official Tournament Rules]] and/or [[Directors Manual|Director’s Manual]], directors may be required to retake the director test as a review at no charge. This can be done by email.
