The WSC has been held in odd-numbered years since 1991, sponsored either by Mattel or the National SCRABBLE® Association/Hasbro. The 2007 World SCRABBLE® Championship will be held on November 9-12 in Mumbai, India.
The event organizer is running full web coverage of the event, a brief daily summary of which will be posted here during the event.
The American and Canadian players have been determined based on a qualification system run by the NSA (see below). Players representing other countries should contact their national player organizations or SCRABBLE® distributor.
Team U.S.A. and Team Canada will be chosen as described in the following pages.

"SCRABBLE® Brand Crossword Game" is the proper way to refer to this unique group of word games and related properties marketed by HASBRO. "SCRABBLE®" is not a generic term. All we ask is that when you mean SCRABBLE® Brand Crossword Game, you say so.
